Why is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB perfect for your family?

With inflation driving up prices everywhere, it's impossible to store for a family vehicle today without doing some calculations. Even if you want to buy a Mercedes-Benz product.

How much you spend on a vehicle is a matter of choice. Fortunately, there are a number of options available to you so that you can match your wishes and your budget.

That's what makes a vehicle like the 2022 GLB. It offers you all the benefits of choosing a Mercedes-Benz product while providing you with combinations of space, price and fuel economy.

Let's start with what's most important to your family - roominess.

Five or seven seats

The GLB comes with a five-passenger interior configuration right out of the box. However, you can add a third bench seat to accommodate the little ones, or to help out when needed. You'd never know how useful it is to have this option for passengers six and seven.

Interior layout

And in both cases, space is generous when you decide to fill it with equipment rather than humans. With the five-passenger models, you get 765 liters of space behind the second row of seats, and 1,755 liters when the second row is folded down.

With a seven-seat layout, there are a few adjustments as the respective volumes are 680 and 1606 liters. Even behind the third row, 144 liters are available to hold a few bags.

Better yet, the way the seats can be divided gives you a lot of flexibility. For example, the second row can be configured in a 40-20-40 configuration, so the possibilities are tenfold. And with easy access to the third row (50-50 split) with a slide system on the second row, it's a breeze to get there.

Really, you're not penalized in any way with the GLB.

Fuel Economy

Secondly, because of its more compact size, the 2022 GLB offers a very interesting fuel consumption rating. Specifically, when equipped with the 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine (221 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque), it consumes only 10.3 L/100 km in the city and 7.8 L/100 km on the highway.

Even with the more powerful engine, it does very well with averages of 11.1 and 8.9 liters, in order. That's not bad for an SUV that offers 302 horsepower.

And add to that another feature that's not to be overlooked when you're looking out for your family's well-being; the 4MATIC all-wheel drive. The latter is one of the most efficient in the industry, which translates into a very reassuring ride when road conditions deteriorate.
