The 2022 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Will Redefine Safety

The upcoming 2022 Mercedes-Benz S-Class will redefine the way we look at automotive safety. Already the flagship sedan of the Mercedes-Benz lineup, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class will get even better in its next generation.

For starters, it will feature E-active body control which will greatly improve comfort. That said, this system will also help with safety as it is capable of raising the vehicle by 80 mm if it detects a side collision. That means that the vehicle will absorb the impact on the structure beneath the doors which is the most rigid part of the car.

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class also offers the first rear front airbag and a new center airbag which provides even more protection for passengers up front. There will also be a range of cameras to provide a full 360-degree visual of the environment. Again, this is just an overview.

Other features include active rear wheels which lower the turning radius at low speeds while also making the Mercedes-Benz S-Class more agile on the highway.
