New 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC unveiled

Mercedes-Benz took the wraps off the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC compact luxury SUV this week, introducing a new luxury sport utility vehicle with enhanced efficiency and performance, more versatility and practicality, advanced technologies, and improved off-road capability. The new 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC shines bright and we can't wait to see more of it as we make our way towards its spring 2023 launch date.

 

A new mild-hybrid engine under the hood

 

The key changes to the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC begin under the hood where a new 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine where a 48-volt mild-hybrid system is located. This new engine delivers 255 hp and 295 pound-feet of torque, 22 extra pound-feet compared to the current GLC. The mild-hybrid system paired with an Integrated Starter Generator can deliver an extra boost of performance as needed. The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 will reach 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds.

 

The Mercedes-Benz GLC has also grown in size to deliver improved practicality. It is longer and it now offers 600 L of total cargo space as opposed to 550. This is definitely an SUV to consider if you are looking for interior space. The GLC 300 will also be more spacious for passengers.

 

Another element that you will notice inside the GLC aside from the increased versatility is the new MBUX infotainment system which is now housed in a new dual-screen setup with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster along with a new 11.9-inch portrait centre display. The new MBUX system offers enhanced connectivity with even more natural sounding voice command capability. The infotainment improvements in the Mercedes-Benz GLC will make every journey that much more enjoyable for the user.

 

The GLC 300 as always been an impressive performer off-road and this will continue in the new generation which now offers an enhanced and standard off-road mode along with an off-road screen that displays key information such as gradient and inclination. Moreover, the new 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC will come with an available new «transparent hood camera» system which will allow the user to see directly in front in difficult off-road driving situations.
