New 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class unveiled
February 25 2021,
The 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class presented earlier this week promises to deliver cutting-edge technologies and advanced systems rarely seen in a compact luxury sedan. To say that the new 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class draws heavily on the new S-Class would not be an exaggeration.
The new C-Class will hit the market in about a year and will be offered at that time in a single version, the C 300 4Matic. All-wheel drive will therefore be standard, but the system is improved to reduce weight and ensure optimal distribution between the axles.
The engine under the hood will be a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder paired with a 48-volt electrical system. Total power developed is set at 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque and according to Mercedes-Benz, the C-Class will hit 100 km/h in about six seconds. Expect more versions to make their debut over time, including various even more powerful Mercedes-AMG models.
The new C-Class is longer than the model it replaces with 25 mm more added to the wheelbase. This will mean more space inside. Inside, the C-Class incorporates several elements of the flagship S-Class unveiled last year. This includes the optional high-resolution LCD center screen, the driver-facing center console and a "floating" dashboard.
We should learn more about the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class 2022 in the coming months!
