Mercedes-Benz C-Class wins Best Retained Value Award from Canadian Black Book
November 12 2021,
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class was named the luxury car with the Best Retained Value Award from the 2021 Canadian Black Book ranking, finishing just ahead of another Mercedes-Benz product, the E-Class.
The Mercedes-Benz GLE also finished in the top three for the best retained value among sport utility vehicles while the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter won the title in the full-size van category. The Metris also ranked very well in the compact commercial van segment.
No other luxury automaker earned more awards than Mercedes-Benz, a testament not only to the quality of the brand’s new vehicles, but also their value over time. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class and E-Class won over the Lexus IS which finished third while no BMW vehicle finished in the top three.
As for the Mercedes-Benz GLE, it has the Best Retained Value of all mid-size luxury SUVs, beating out the BMW X5 and the Audi Q7 which didn’t finish in the top 3. The Sprinter commercial van beat out the Ram Promaster and the Ford Transit 150 while the Mercedes-Benz Metris finished in the top three in its class as well.
The Canadian Black Book awards measure how much of a percentage a vehicle keeps after four years. Mercedes-Benz vehicles were shown to be among the best in their respective segments for resale value, with the Mercedes-Benz C-Class having a particularly strong showing in a highly competitive field.
