Mercedes-AMG is extending its AMG GT Coupe range with the introduction of the 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 43, a model that seamlessly blends agility, power, and sophisticated design. At the heart of this new addition lies the lightweight, handcrafted AMG 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, complemented by a rear-wheel drive system that promises an engaging and dynamic driving experience.

Engine and Performance

The meticulously hand-built M139 AMG 2.0-liter turbocharged engine stands out for its formidable power output of 416 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain allows the GT 43 Coupe to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds. The engine incorporates cutting-edge electric exhaust gas turbocharger technology, inspired directly by Formula 1™, ensuring immediate response across the entire rpm spectrum.

This turbocharging system benefits from a 48-volt onboard electrical system, which powers the belt-driven starter generator (RSG). The RSG functions as a mild hybrid within this system, providing support at lower engine speeds and enabling features such as gliding and recuperation to enhance efficiency further. Thanks to this 48-volt technology, the transitions between the start-stop system and gliding mode are remarkably smooth, elevating the comfort level for the driver.

Transmission and Aerodynamics

The AMG SPEEDSHIFT® MCT 9G transmission, equipped with a wet start-off clutch, replaces the traditional torque converter, offering reduced weight and optimized response to accelerator input. This transmission facilitates short shift times and the capability for quick multiple downshifts, enhancing the vehicle's dynamic driving experience.

Active aerodynamics play a crucial role in the GT 43's design, featuring the AIRPANEL active air control system for optimized airflow and a retractable rear spoiler that adjusts its position based on the driving situation to improve stability or reduce drag.

Suspension and Handling

The AMG GT 43 is outfitted with an AMG steel spring suspension system that includes high-performance aluminum shock absorbers and lightweight coil springs, ensuring precise handling. The use of forged aluminum in the suspension links, steering knuckles, and wheel carriers across both front and rear axles significantly reduces unsprung mass, contributing to the vehicle's responsive and stable driving characteristics.

Optionally available is the latest generation of AMG RIDE CONTROL adaptive adjustable damping, allowing drivers to adjust the damping force for each wheel in real-time and select between different setups to match the driving conditions.

Braking System

The AMG high-performance composite brake system ensures exceptional deceleration and control, featuring large ventilated and perforated brake discs with six-piston fixed calipers at the front and single-piston floating calipers at the rear. This system benefits from reduced weight and improved cooling, contributing to the vehicle's dynamic capabilities.

Drive Programs and Design

With five AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive programs and AMG DYNAMICS, drivers can tailor their driving experience from comfortable to exceptionally dynamic. The exterior design of the GT 43 distinguishes itself with unique elements like a newly designed front fascia, emphasizing its elegant and powerful character.

Interior and Customization

The interior of the Mercedes-AMG GT 43, described as "hyper-analog," combines digital technology with analog geometry, centered around the driver. The 11.9-inch multimedia touchscreen and the MBUX infotainment system offer extensive AMG-specific content, enhancing the vehicle's sporty appeal.

For those looking to further personalize their GT 43, optional exterior design packages and a choice of high-performance seats are available, ensuring that every aspect of the vehicle reflects the driver's style and preferences.

The 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 43 Coupe redefines the sports coupe category, offering a perfect blend of performance, technology, and luxury, with detailed engineering in every component for an unparalleled driving experience.
