2024 Mercedes-AMG GLC: Where Luxury Meets Performance

The 2024 Mercedes-AMG GLC blurs the intersection of luxury and performance in the SUV segment. This latest iteration builds on its predecessor's success with a host of innovations that elevate both driving dynamics and passenger comfort to new heights.

A Symphony of Power and Precision

At the heart of the new AMG GLC lies a technological marvel - the AMG M139l 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. This powerplant features an electric exhaust gas turbocharger, a world-first in production vehicles. The result is an engine that delivers 416 horsepower in the GLC 43 model, with an additional 13 horsepower boost available from the belt-driven starter generator.

For those craving even more power, the GLC 63 S E PERFORMANCE hybrid model combines this innovative engine with an electric drive unit on the rear axle. This potent combination produces a staggering 671 horsepower and 752 lb-ft of torque, propelling the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds.

Cutting-Edge Suspension and Handling

The AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension with Adaptive Damping System comes standard on both GLC models. This system continuously adjusts damping at each wheel, optimizing both comfort and handling. The GLC 63 S E PERFORMANCE takes things a step further with AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL, an active roll stabilization system that uses electromechanical actuators to reduce body roll during cornering.

Both models also feature rear-axle steering, which improves agility at low speeds and stability at high speeds. This system, combined with the AMG speed-sensitive steering, provides precise control and feedback to the driver.

Luxurious Interior Meets High-Tech Features

Inside the cabin, the AMG GLC showcases a blend of sportiness and sophistication. AMG sports seats upholstered in ARTICO/microfiber come standard, with optional leather and Nappa leather upgrades available. The AMG Performance steering wheel, adorned with aluminum gearshift paddles and AMG DRIVE UNIT buttons, puts control at the driver's fingertips.

The MBUX infotainment system features AMG-specific displays and functions, including the "Supersport" style that can display a wealth of performance data. For track enthusiasts, the optional AMG TRACK PACE data logger can record over 80 vehicle-specific data points during circuit driving.

Practical Luxury for Everyday Use

Despite its high-performance credentials, the AMG GLC doesn't compromise on practicality. The spacious cargo area and flexible storage options make it suitable for daily use, while advanced safety features and driver assistance systems ensure peace of mind on every journey.

The 2024 Mercedes-AMG GLC combines raw power with refined luxury, all wrapped in a practical SUV package. Its performance credentials shine both on and off the track, while its interior comforts make daily driving a pleasure. As SUVs continue to dominate the market, the GLC stands out as an exciting option for those who refuse to compromise on performance or practicality.
