2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class vs. 2022 Lexus IS: The Benz has the upper hand in terms of performance

Buyers looking for a luxury sedan that delivers a great blend of performance and luxury have multiple options on the market including the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the 2022 Lexus IS. Both luxury sedans have a lot to offer, but the Mercedes-Benz C-Class is the best selling compact luxury sedan in the country for many reasons. Let's take a look at how it stacks up with the 2022 Lexus IS.

2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class: The Queen of Luxury Vehicles

C-Class occupants have more head room and legroom than the IS, which makes it more passenger-friendly. Moreover, the clean and stylish interior of the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class offers premium materials and an intuitive layout that feels luxurious and is easy to use. This makes the C-Class perfect for buyers who need to spend a lot of time on the road.

Mercedes-Benz is known for offering exceptional luxury to its owners, and the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is no exception.  It is no wonder that the C-Class is so popular and that we see so many of them on the road. The cabin is quiet and refined, and whether you are driving over a winding road or on the way to work, the C-Class delivers. The Lexus IS is also luxurious, but it feels a little cramped inside and it has a lot less room than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class for your passengers.

Proven powertrains abound in the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

The C 300 4MATIC features a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder that generates 255 horsepower and a responsive 273 lb-ft of torque. The comparable Lexus IS 300 RWD also includes a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder, but output reduces to 241 horsepower. In other words, right out of the gate you will enjoy better performance in the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

Other versions are available in both model lineups. While the Lexus IS offers the IS 300 and IS 350 with a V6 engine that can offer up to 311 horsepower, the C-Class takes the lead with the AMG models. The AMG C 43 includes a turbocharged V6 that upgrades to 385 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. The AMG C63 adds nearly 70 horsepower while the top-of-the-line C63 S delivers over 500 horsepower.

In other words, you will enjoy better performance, better luxury, and a more engaging driving experience in the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class all while enjoy a remarkable level of comfort and more interior space.
